Kellie Martin, an American TV and film actress best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the period drama series "Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Her other roles of note include the lead role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her acting career at the young age of seven when her aunt, who was a nanny for Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of parts in both the television as well as the film industry. Apart from being an actor, Martin is an accomplished photographer as well as a dancer. She is a mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. Following her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been working to educate people about the condition.
